James M. Beggs
James Montgomery Beggs (born January 9, 1926 in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania , † April 23, 2020 in Bethesda , Maryland ) was the sixth head of the US space agency NASA from July 1981 to December 1985 .
James M. Beggs studied Business Administration at Harvard University and received his Masters in 1955 .
On June 1, 1981, he was President Ronald Reagan to the administrator of NASA nominated. From July 1981 onwards he led NASA until he announced his resignation from NASA on December 4, 1985, which took effect on February 25, 1986.
