James Nolan Mason (born July 25, 1952 in Chillicothe ) is an American unemployed neo-Nazi , author and thought leader of the nuclear weapons division .

Life

Mason grew up in Chillicothe, Ohio , and joined the youth movement of the American Nazi Party (ANP) founded by George Lincoln Rockwell in 1959 at the age of 14 .

In 1968, when Mason was 16 years old, he planned the murder of his headmaster and other teachers in his high school . On the advice of party member William Luther Pierce , whom he had approached about his plans , he decided not to implement these plans and left school to work in the office of the Nazi party in Alexandria , Virginia , which has now been renamed the National Socialist White People's Party (NSWPP) .

In 1970, at the age of 18, Mason became a full member of the NSWPP and returned to Chillicothe.

From 1980 Mason was editor-in-chief of Siege , a neo-Nazi newsletter of the National Socialist Liberation Front (NSLF). Even after the NSLF was no longer active in 1982, Mason continued to publish until 1986. In the newsletter, Mason paid homage to Adolf Hitler , Joseph Tommasi , Charles Manson and Savitri Devi, among others . He also advocated arbitrary attacks on society and murder and terrorist attacks aimed at destabilizing it.

In 1992 the Siege newsletters were combined and published in book form under the same name. A second edition followed in 2003. The book was widely distributed in the neo-Nazi scene and is considered required reading for the Atomwaffen Division .

In 1988 and 1991, police raided Mason's home in Ohio and confiscated child pornography photos of a 15-year-old girl. In 1992 he pleaded guilty and was convicted, but was not detained.

In May 1994, Mason was arrested again on charges of two sexual abuse of a minor and two involvement in the criminal offense of a minor. His then 16-year-old ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend, a Latino , had called the police after they were both threatened with a gun by Mason. From May 1995 to August 1999, Mason spent several years in prison. After his first release after three years, several more prison terms followed at irregular intervals. During this time he turned to Christianity and in 2000 he published The Theocrat , a book about his comparative consideration of Bible passages with Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf .

Mason is considered to be the pioneer and forefather of the neo-Nazi and National Socialist terrorist organization Atomwaffen Division .

Mason is now impoverished, so he lives in a state-paid apartment in Denver and eats in soup kitchens. His apartment became a meeting place for the Atomwaffen Division, but he denies being a member of it.
