James Soutter ( James Tindal Soutter ; born January 1, 1885 in Echt , Aberdeenshire , † August 8, 1966 in Edinburgh ) was a British sprinter and middle-distance runner .

At the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912, he won bronze with the British team in the 4 x 400 meter relay . He reached the semi-finals over 400 m and 800 m .
