Jan Andrzej Domarski (born October 28, 1946 in Rzeszów , Poland ) is a former Polish football player .

The striker Jan Domarski played together with Grzegorz Lato and Henryk Kasperczak in Polish provincial club Stal Mielec . These three players were instrumental in bringing this club to the fore in Polish football in the 1970s. Domarski won two Polish championships with Mielec in 1973 and 1976. In the Polish national team , Domarski was mostly overshadowed by center forward Andrzej Szarmach , but he had an unforgettable moment in the history of Polish football: On October 17, 1973, he scored the 57th-minute goal of Wembley , which Poland qualified for the 1974 World Cup in Germany against the overpowering opponent England meant. The game ended 1-1. At the World Cup itself, Domarski was only used three times, including in the legendary Frankfurt water battle against Germany . He made a total of 17 international matches and scored two goals.

His son Rafał Domarski was also a professional footballer in Poland . He played for Stal Rzeszów , Stal Mielec and Hutnik Krakau and brought it to 69 games and 12 goals in the Ekstraklasa (the highest Polish division).
