Jan Gassmann (born August 31, 1997 ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Gassmann started his career at SVL Flavia Solva . In 2012 he switched to the youth of the Grazer AK . In 2013 he came to AKA HIB Liebenau . For the 2014/15 season he moved to the regional division SC Kalsdorf . He made his regional league debut in March 2015 when he started against SV Wallern on matchday 17 of that season .

During the winter break of the 2015/16 season, he moved to the fourth-class SV Lebring . After six months at Lebring, he joined the third-class amateurs of FK Austria Wien in the summer of 2016 . With the second team of Austria he rose to the 2nd division in 2018 .

For the 2018/19 season, Gassmann was pulled up into the Bundesliga team. In July 2018 he made his debut for the second team of Austria in the second-highest division when he was in the starting line-up against Kapfenberger SV on the first matchday of the 2018/19 season. After exactly 100 games for the second team of Austria, he moved to Slovenia for the 2020/21 season to the second division club NK Drava Ptuj .

Personal

His father Wolfgang (* 1967) was also a soccer player and trained him in the youth of Flavia Solva.
