Jan Henkel

Jan Henkel (born July 20, 1973 in Ulm ) is a television presenter and former German fencer .

life and career

Henkel grew up in Rheinbach . After graduating from high school in 1992 at the Vinzenz Pallotti College in Rheinbach, he took part in the CISM World Fencing Championships in Moscow in 1993, the high point of his sporting career. After that, he began to study sports science at the German Sport University Cologne , which he graduating with a 1998 diploma ended -Sportwissenschaftler. At the same time, he has been working as an editor for various television stations since 1996 . For Sport1 (formerly DSF) he moderated the international soccer format LaOla for three years . From 2000 onwards, Henkel worked as a presenter for the television station Sky Deutschland . At the Bundesliga or UEFA Champions League games , he and experts analyzed the games played by the German representatives. In the summer of 2017, Henkel switched to Eurosport and hosted the Bundesliga with Matthias Sammer .

Henkel has lived with his family in Munich since 2017, after having lived in Italy for 16 years.
