Jan Křtitel Kuchař
Jan Křtitel Kuchař (also: Kucharž , Johann Baptist Kucharz , born March 5, 1751 in Choteč , † February 18, 1829 in Prague ) was a Czech organist , mandolinist and composer .
Kuchař studied with Josef Seger in Prague and worked as an organist in various churches and later as the conductor of the Prague Opera. On September 1, 1790, he succeeded Johann Baptist Ignaz Wolf as organist at the Strachower Stiftskirche .
He composed operas , ballets , masses , offers and organ works. He also wrote the first piano reduction of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera Die Zauberflöte .
