Jan Mayländer (born March 29, 1992 ) is a former German ski jumper and today's trainer.

Career

Mayländer, who competes for SC Degenfeld , made his international debut on March 3, 2007 with a second place in an FIS youth competition in Toblach . On January 12, 2008, he celebrated his first victory at an FIS Cup in Lauscha . After further participation in FIS races, in the FIS Cup and Alpine Cup, he also started in the Continental Cup on December 27, 2011 .

At the German Championships in 2008 he won bronze with the Baden-Württemberg II team . In 2012 he was able to achieve a third place in team jumping again.

At the Junior World Championships 2012 in Erzurum he finished 22nd in the individual. After further starts in the Continental Cup, he was nominated for the first time for the Grand Prix in summer 2013 .

Together with his cousin Dominik , Martin Schmitt and Maximilian Mechler , he won silver in team jumping at the German championships in October 2013 .

After his active time, he looks after young talents at the Degenfeld base as a junior coach.
