Jan Ostrowski (born April 14, 1999 ) is a Luxembourg national football player with Polish roots who plays for Miedź Legnica .

Career

youth

Through his hometown club FC Monnerich and the RFC Union Luxemburg , he moved to the youth division of 1. FSV Mainz 05 in 2013 . After a total of three and a half years, he joined the A-Juniors at Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2017 .

Seniors

After his contract in Frankfurt was not extended in the summer of 2018, he switched to the U21s of the Grasshopper Club Zurich . Here, however, he only stayed one season and joined the Polish club Miedź Legnica in the second division in 2019 . After his first two games of the season, he tore a cruciate ligament there in early September .

National team

Until 2015 he played youth internationals for Poland and Luxembourg because of his dual citizenship. Since 2016 he has only been active in the youth sector in Luxembourg. On June 4, 2017, Ostrowski played in the friendly against Albania (2-1) for his first international match for Luxembourg . Game number two followed on August 31, 2017 at the home game in the European Championship qualification against Belarus (1-0).
