Jan Zimmermann (born February 12, 1993 in Tübingen ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Zimmermann began his career in 2002 at TV Rottenburg . In 2011, the setter took part with the German juniors in the U21 World Cup in Rio de Janeiro , in which the DVV selection took tenth place. In the same year he moved to TSV Georgii Allianz Stuttgart . In the 2012/13 season Zimmermann played for the youth team VC Olympia Berlin . He was then signed by VfB Friedrichshafen . In May 2014 Zimmermann made his first appearance in the senior national team against Belgium . Zimmermann won the DVV Cup with Friedrichshafen in 2014 and 2015 and became German champion in 2015 . He then moved to the newly promoted Bundesliga United Volleys Rhein-Main .
