Jana Mintšenkova (born April 19, 1988 ) is an Estonian biathlete .

Jana Mintšenkova ran her first Junior World Championships in Kontiolahti in 2005 , without achieving any noteworthy results in Presque Isle in 2006 . Things went better in 2007 in Martell , where the young Estonian was 12th in the individual and eighth in the relay. In the Junior European Cup she started in 2007. In Forni Avoltri she was initially 30th in the sprint, but then improved in the pursuit race to eighth. Since 2007/08 , Mintšenkova has competed in the senior division. First she started in the Biathlon European Cup . She finished her first race in Torsby both in the sprint and in the pursuit as 38th. A little later she ran her first race in the Biathlon World Cup in Hochfilzen . Like the following races, it was initially only a relay race, Mintsenkova continued to contest individual races as part of the European Cup. That only changed at the 2008 Biathlon World Championships in Östersund . Here Mintsenkova also competed in the relay and was 17th with Kadri Lehtla , Eveli Saue and Sirli Hanni , but she was also used in the individual, in which she came in 91st place.
