Jana Schimke (born September 6, 1979 in Cottbus ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and has been a member of the Bundestag since 2013 .

From 1999 to 2005 Schimke studied political science at the TU Dresden and FU Berlin , from which she graduated as a political scientist.

Schimke joined the CDU in 2003 and was chairwoman of the Potsdam Women's Union from 2011 to 2012 and also deputy chairwoman of the Brandenburg Women's Union from 2011 to 2013. From April 2015 to November 2019 she was also deputy state chairman of the CDU Brandenburg. She is deputy district chairwoman of the CDU Dahme-Spreewald and a member of the Brandenburg State Expert Committee on Economics and Labor. Jana Schimke has been volunteering for the Presidium of the DRK -Landesverband Brandenburg eV since September 2014

In the federal election 2013 she won the direct mandate in the federal constituency of Dahme-Spreewald - Teltow-Fläming III - Oberspreewald-Lausitz I with 37.0% of the first votes.

Schimke is a full member of the Committee for Labor and Social Affairs and a deputy member of the Committee for Home Affairs and Home Affairs . She is also involved in the board of the SME parliamentary group (PKM), the young group and the group of women in the CDU / CSU parliamentary group.

Schimke was elected Deputy Federal Chairwoman at the MIT (Mittelstands- und Wirtschaftsunion der CDU / CSU) in September 2019.

In the vote on the introduction of the statutory minimum wage on July 3, 2014, Schimke was one of five members of the Bundestag who voted against the law. Looking back, she said: “My motives for voting 'no' were the economic realities here in my constituency and in East Germany . The minimum wage destroys jobs and promotes unemployment . "

In the 2017 federal election she was able to defend her constituency with 30.7 percent of the first votes and a 10 percentage point lead.

Schimke lives with her family in Rangsdorf .

In 2017, Schimke was voted the “most erotic politician in Germany” in a representative survey commissioned by Playboy magazine , after she had previously voted in similar reader surveys by Bild-Zeitung (2013, “ Miss Bundestag ”) and Men's Health magazine (2015) Winner had been chosen.
