Jane Schumacher (born August 27, 1988 in Tinglev ) is a German - Danish handball player .
Career
Schumacher began playing handball at SV Tingleff at the age of seven and moved to Viborg HK in the youth division . With Viborg she took third place in 2006 and second place in the Danish Youth Championships in 2007. In February 2007, the back court player was used for the first time in a group game of the EHF Champions League in the women's team. Shortly thereafter, she signed a one-year contract. In Viborg, Schumacher suffered a knee injury, which meant that she had to take a long break. In November 2008 she joined the then second division Skive fH . With Skive she was only relegated to the third division, returned to the second division and then rose to the Damehåndboldligaen . From summer 2014 she played for Randers HK . In the summer of 2016, she moved to the French first division club OGC Nice . She has been under contract with the Danish first division club Silkeborg-Voel KFUM since the 2018/19 season .
Schumacher had German citizenship until she was 18 and then took on Danish citizenship. She then belonged to the squad of the Danish national youth team. On March 22, 2013, the backcourt player made her debut in the Danish senior team . Schumacher won the bronze medal at the 2013 World Cup and scored 17 goals in nine games.

Schumacher is in a relationship with the Danish handball player Marcus Mørk .
