Janice Felty is an American mezzo-soprano singer .

Felty was best known as an interpreter of contemporary music. She sang world premieres and recordings of compositions by John Adams , Philip Glass , John Harbisons , Lee Hoibys , Tod Machovers , Judith Weirs and Ellen Taaffe Zwilichs .
