Ulrich Folkmar

Ulrich Folkmar (born June 2, 1902 in Freiberg , † December 5, 1977 in Munich ) was a German actor , dubbing and radio play speaker .

Life

Ulrich Folkmar was born in 1902 as Ulrich Brachmann in Freiberg or Freibergsdorf . During the Second World War from 1942 to 1944 he was permanently employed at the Deutsches Theater in the Netherlands in The Hague , whose performances were reserved for soldiers of the German Wehrmacht . After the war he worked at the Munich Kammerspiele engaged , but had also in the same city a guest performance at the Bavarian State Opera . In the mid-1950s he began to work on the grandstand in West Berlin , but then went to East Berlin (where he also lived) to the Volksbühne . In 1963 he ended his engagement there in order to then play theater in Hanover .

In both the eastern and western parts of Germany , Ulrich Folkmar was a sought-after actor for feature films and tasks on television. He also worked as a radio play and voice actor in both countries.
