Hannes Küpper
Hannes Küpper (born December 25, 1897 in Düsseldorf , † November 1955 in Berlin ) was a German dramaturge , director and writer .
Life
Hannes Küpper was the son of a master painter . After receiving acting lessons from Louise Dumont in Düsseldorf in 1918 , he carried out various activities in the following years in addition to acting , including: a. as a cyclist ; literary texts were also created. In 1926 Bert Brecht won him over for his poem about the six-day racing driver Reggie McNamara “He, he! The Iron Man! ”, The poetry prize donated by the magazine “ Die literäre Welt ” . From 1927 to 1933 Küpper was a dramaturge at the Städtische Bühnen in Essen , where he published the magazine “The Headlight”, an important organ of literary New Objectivity . From 1932 Küpper worked primarily as a director , later also for the radio .
