Steffen Zacharias

Steffen Zacharias (born April 11, 1927 in Hamburg , Germany , † June 6, 1989 in North Hollywood , California , USA ) was a Greek actor .

Life

Zacharias was born in Germany to Greek parents and grew up in the United States , where he worked as a stage director in New York City before making his acting debut in the 1964 television series The Reporter . In 1967 he went to Italy and quickly gained a reputation as a reliable performer of mostly weird characters in genre films, especially spaghetti westerns and often as a partner of Bud Spencer and Terence Hill . In the late 1970s, he returned to the States, where he continued to play occasional supporting roles until 1984. In 1989 Zacharias died of cancer.
