Janina Picard (* 1994 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German actress , voice actress and radio play speaker .

Career

Janina Picard grew up in Frankfurt and already had her first television roles during her school days and took part in children's radio plays. In 2012 she became known to a wider audience when she starred Juliet in the youth series Romeo feat. Julia - Die HipHopHelden took over on behalf of the SWR . After graduating from high school, she studied at the State University for Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart from 2013, which she graduated in 2017 and gained further filming experience during her studies. So she took on a small role in Oskar Roehler's sources of life and the role of the young Vera Kaltensee in the German ZDF television film Deep Wounds - Ein Taunuskrimi .

She also worked as an artistic spokesperson for SWR and Arte during her studies, for which she is still active as a spokesperson. Janina Picard also works as a singer and was trained by Fola Dada .

In 2017 she designed a theater evening about the life of the poet Rose Ausländer , with which she appeared as a guest performance at various houses. In 2018 she moved to New York , where she studied at the Actors Studio with Ellen Burstyn , Alec Baldwin and Sandra Seacat. During her stay in New York, Picard also worked in various student short films .

Picard is a member of the Federal Drama Association (BFFS).

She has been a scholarship holder of the FAMAKunststiftung Hannover since 2020 and lives in Berlin.
