Japanese Super Cup 2017

The Japanese Football Supercup 2017 was played on February 18, 2017 between the J1 League winner 2016 and Imperial Cup winner 2016 Kashima Antlers and the runner-up Urawa Red Diamonds . The Antlers won their sixth Super Cup.

Shortly before the end of the first half, Yasushi Endō Kashima took the lead with two goals in the 39th and 43rd minutes. In the middle of the second half, Urawa managed to equalize in less than 120 seconds through goals from Shinzō Kōroki (74th) and Yūki Mutō (75th). Substitute Yuma Suzuki finally set seven minutes from time to win for the Antlers safe.
