Jaques Courvoisier
Jaques Courvoisier (born February 12, 1900 in Geneva ; † August 23, 1988 ibid) was a Swiss Reformed theologian .
Life
After studying theology in Paris and Geneva, he passed the state examination in 1925 . In 1925 he was in Paris ordained (1926-1927 he vicar in Cannes and Passy , 1927-1930 pastor in Bière , from 1931 to 1939 in Eaux-Vives ). In 1936 he became a lecturer at the University of Geneva and taught from 1939 to 1969 as a professor of church history (1944–1956 dean of the faculty of theology, 1956–1958 prorector and 1958–1960 rector ).
