Jarosław Leszek Wałęsa (born September 13, 1976 in Gdansk ) is a Polish politician and currently a member of the European Parliament .

The son of Lech and Danuta Wałęsa represented in the Polish parliament during the V and VI. Election period (from 2005) a Gdańsk constituency for the Platforma Obywatelska (PO). In the 2009 European elections , he was elected to the European Parliament. This ended his membership in the Sejm on June 10, 2009 .

He advocated close cooperation between Poland and the Federal Republic of Germany. He was one of the PO politicians who demanded more "leadership" in the European Union from Berlin . In the election for the city president of Gdansk in 2018, he ran for the electoral alliance Koalicja Obywatelska , but missed the runoff election with 27.8% of the votes as third-placed in the first ballot behind incumbent Paweł Adamowicz (Everything for Gdansk) and Kacper Płażyński ( PiS ) .
