Jaroslav Hilbert
Jaroslav Hilbert (* 1871 in Laun ; † 1936 in Prague ) was a Czech playwright , prose writer , theater critic , publicist and memoir writer .
Life
After graduating from high school in 1889, he studied mechanical engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague . He made several trips abroad, including France , Scandinavia , Italy , Siberia , Japan and the USA . He is the younger brother of the architect Kamil Hilbert .
Works
He is considered the founder of the Czech psychological drama. Under the influence of Henrik Ibsen , he worked on a modern, dramatic expression.
