Levin-Friedrich von Bismarck
Levin Friedrich Christoph August von Bismarck (born October 3, 1703 in Krevese , † October 15, 1774 in Briest ) was Prussian Minister of Justice and President of the Prussian Court of Justice in Berlin .

His parents were Christoph Georg von Bismarck (* February 6, 1667; † December 19, 1730) and his wife Anna Elisabeth von Katte (* August 23, 1670; † July 23, 1714).
Life
Bismarck was first a member of the chamber judge and later became a member of the higher appellate court. In 1738 he became Vice Chancellor and in 1740 Chancellor of the Neumärk government. Bismarck was appointed Prussian Minister of Justice on December 20, 1746, and in 1748 he also became 1st President of the Chamber Court. During his tenure, he initiated important court and legal reforms that ultimately led to the General Prussian Land Law (ALR) of 1794.
In 1764 he retired due to an eye disease and became completely blind in 1771.

He came from the Bismarck family in Altmark and was heir to Briest ; around 1739 he also acquired the neighboring Birkholz estate . He was married to Sophie Amalie von der Schulenburg and had several children, including;
