Jaroslav Kmiť (born September 12, 1979 in Košice , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Dukla Michalovce in the Slovak 1st division since 2012 .
Career
Kmiť began his career in 1995 at HC Košice , for whom he first played in the youth teams. When he came of age, he finally switched to the professional team, with whom he became Slovak champion for the first time in 1999 . In addition, the striker was the top scorer of his team in the 2004/05 season and won the championship again in 2009. With 14 seasons he was the longest-serving player in the Eastern Slovaks at that time.
In January 2010 he was released from HC Košice for disciplinary reasons. In the summer of 2010 he trained with HK Poprad and got a contract shortly before the start of the season. For the 2011/12 season he joined the HK Dukla Michalovce from the second-class 1st division , but returned to HK Poprad in October 2011. In January 2012 he moved to Aalborg BK in Denmark.
