Jaroslav Neverovič

Jarosław Niewierowicz (lit. Jaroslav Neverovič ; born April 4, 1976 in Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian manager of Polish origin, former diplomat (2001–2006) and politician, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs (2006–2008) and Energy Minister (2012–2014).

Life

In 2001 Niewierowicz completed his master's degree in international relations at the Szkoła Główna Handlowa in Warsaw . From 1999 to 2001 he worked as a project manager in “ Citibank ” (in Poland). From 2001 to 2004 Neverovičius worked in the Lithuanian Embassy in Washington, from 2004 to 2005 in the Department of Security Policy and from 2005 to 2006 as 3rd Secretary in the EU Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania . From November 2008 to December 2012 he was CEO of " LitPolLink ".

Foreign Deputy Minister

From 2006 to 2008 he was Deputy Minister , Deputy Foreign Minister Petras Vaitiekūnas in the Kirkilas cabinet (in the 14th Lithuanian government from 1990).

Energy minister

From December 13, 2012 to August 25, 2014, he was Lithuania's energy minister in the Butkevičius cabinet . On August 19, 2014, the Prime Minister proposed to the Lithuanian President that the energy minister should be dismissed because he had made his party colleague Renata Cytacka deputy minister on August 18, 2014 under pressure from the LLRA party (led by Valdemar Tomaševski ) without consulting Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius was appointed repeatedly after the re-election of the Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė . Grybauskaitė signed the release decree the very next day (August 19, 2014). Niewierowicz then went on vacation and remained in office as minister until August 25, 2014.

Niewierowicz is a member of the Propolian party Lietuvos lenkų rinkimų akcija (LLRA).
