history

Gediminas Kirkilas became Prime Minister in 2006. The government program was approved by the Seimas and the government was sworn in on July 18, 2006. The new government was formed after the parliamentary elections in Lithuania in 2004 . The coalition partners were LSDP , Pilietinės democijos partija (PDP), LVLS and LiCS , and from 2008 also Naujoji Sąjunga (NS).
