Jason Turner (born January 31, 1975 in Rochester ) is a former American marksman .
successes
Jason Turner took part in the Olympic Games three times . In 2004 he took 36th place with the air pistol and 18th place with the free pistol in Athens . Four years later he did not get past 20th place with the free pistol in Beijing , while he made it to the final with the air pistol thanks to 583 points in the qualification. He finished this with a total of 682.0 points and prevailed in the subsequent jump-off for fourth place against his compatriot Brian Beaman . Since the original third-placed Kim Jong-su was disqualified for doping, Turner subsequently received bronze. At the 2012 Olympic Games in London , he finished the competition with the air pistol in 34th place. At the Pan American Games he won the gold medal with the air pistol in Santo Domingo in 2003 and in Rio de Janeiro in 2007 . In 2007 he also finished the competition with the free pistol in first place.
Turner ended his active career in 2015. In November 2018 he became the national coach of the US pistol shooters.
