Jasper Tissen

Jasper Tissen (born September 15, 1992 ) is a Dutch rower who was second in the 2019 world championship with eighth .

Athletic career

Jasper Tissen started rowing in 2010. In 2013 he finished seventh in the two without a helmsman at the U23 World Championships , the following year he came eighth with eight.

In 2017 he took sixth place at the European Championships with the four without a helmsman in the line-up of Harold Langen , Jasper Tissen, Vincent van der Want and Govert Viergever . At the 2017 World Championships , the Dutch finished fourth. In 2018, Jasper Tissen was the only one left from the previous four. Together with Bjorn van den Ende , Tone Wieten and Bram Schwarz , he finished fifth at the European Championships in Glasgow , and at the World Rowing Championships in Plovdiv the Dutch came fourth, as in the previous year. In 2019 van den Ende, Tissen and Schwarz switched to the Dutch eight. At the beginning of the 2019 season, the Dutch eighth won bronze at the European Championships in Lucerne behind the Germans and the British. At the world championships, the Germans won ahead of the Dutch and the British.
