The Jassy ( Kyrgyz Жазы Dschasy; Russian Яссы ) is an important right tributary of the Kara-Daryja in Kyrgyzstan .

The Jassy rises on the southern slope of the Ferghana Mountains . It flows along the southern flank of the mountain range in a westerly direction. Later he turns to the southwest and leaves the mountainous country. In the Fergana valley it turns again to the west, flows north past the town of Ösgön and finally flows into a northern bay of the Andijon reservoir through which the Kara-Daryja flows . The river has a length of 122 km. It drains an area of ​​2620 km². The mean discharge is 34.8 m³ / s.
