Jastrebarsko , or Jaska for short ( jastreb means hawk in German ), is a city in the central part of Croatia that belongs to the Zagreb County . It is halfway between Zagreb and Karlovac along the A1 motorway . According to the 2011 census, Jastrebarsko has 15,866 inhabitants. There is a castle of Count Erdődy in the town . During the Second World War, the city with the Jastrebarsko concentration camp for children, which was located there between July and November 1942, belonged to the territory of fascist Croatia .
