Javier Ignacio Aquino Carmona (born February 11, 1990 in Oaxaca ) is a Mexican football player who acts in midfield .

Career

society

Aquino went through various junior areas and farm teams of the CD Cruz Azul , with which he also received his first professional contract and between 2008 and 2010 played for its second division team Cruz Azul Hidalgo .

He made his debut for the first team playing in the Mexican Primera División on July 23, 2010 in a 3-0 away win against CD Estudiantes Tecos . It was the first game day of Apertura 2010 and in the same season he also scored his first goal in the top Mexican division at the game in Morelia (1: 1) on October 24, 2010.

He made his last appearance for Cruz Azul on January 26, 2013 in the league game against Puebla FC and he said goodbye in the home stadium with the goal to 4-0 final score in the 61st minute. He then moved to Villarreal in the Spanish league and also played on loan for the Madrid district club Rayo Vallecano .

In 2015 he returned to his homeland, where he has since been under contract with the UANL Tigres , with whom he has already won the Mexican football championship three times.

National team

With the Mexican U-23 selection , Aquino won the Pan American Games football tournament in 2011 and the Olympic football tournament and the prestigious Toulon tournament the following year .

He has also played for the senior national team several times since 2011 and is part of the Mexican squad at the 2013 Confederations Cup , where he started in the first group game against Italy (1: 2) and in the last group game against Japan (2: 2). 1) was substituted on in the 90th minute.
