Javier Sánchez Galindo (born November 26, 1947 in Mexico City ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of central defender . With six championship titles, he is one of the most successful players in the Mexican professional league .

Life

Sánchez Galindo began his professional career in the 1966/67 season with the CD Cruz Azul , which at the time was still based in the small town of Jasso . In the eight years with the Cementeros , which moved to the Mexican capital during this time, he won five championship titles , three times the CONCACAF Champions Cup and once the Mexican cup competition . For the 1974/75 season he moved to Chivas Guadalajara , but returned a year later to the capital and signed with Club America , with whom he won the championship , the CONCACAF Champions Cup and the Copa Interamericana in the next few years . In 1979 he moved to the neighboring city of Nezahualcoyotl -based Deportivo Neza , in which he who concluded his active career in 1982.

National team
