The Jeřáb (German Ebereschberg ) is a mountain in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers southeast of Králíky in the Hannsdorfer Bergland and is its highest point.
geography
The fully forested mountain is located in the Hrubý les forest area. The historical border between Bohemia and Moravia ran over the summit , with the western slope of the mountain on Bohemian territory and the remainder on Moravian territory. Today the Okres Ústí nad Orlicí and Okres Šumperk meet here. The main European watershed between the Elbe and the Danube runs over the summit . The source of the silent eagles lies on the western slope . The springing on the northern slope streams Zlatý Potok and Vysoký Potok carry their water directly into the north of the mountain flowing past March from the springing in the eastern Rudolf Spring Březná reached southward also the catchment area of March. To the south-west of the Jeřáb is the Jeřábek foothill (838 m) and in the south of the Bukovec (701 m).
Surrounding villages are Horní Hedeč and Zlatý Potok in the north, Vysoký Potok and Podlesí in the northeast, Lazy in the east, Štědrákova Lhota, Lhotka and Janoušov in the southeast, Písařov in the south, Moravský Karlov, Tři Dvory and Červená Voda in the southwest, Orlíanice in the west and Kopeček and Dolní Hedec in the northwest.
Tourist use
The Jeřáb Nature Park connects to the southwest of the summit. On the pass on the eastern slope, at an altitude of 899 m, not far from the Rudolfquelle, the chapel of St. Trinity. Because of the population of trees, the mountain only offers a limited view to the southeast, which is why it is not very popular for tourists.
