history
The first written mention of the town of Janušov , which belonged to the Eisenberg domain and was probably named after its locator, took place in 1397. The mountain village was always subject to Eisenberg. Its residents initially had to do compulsory labor in the manorial hammer mills, but this has been replaced by levies in cash since the 16th century. In the hoof register of 1677, Janoušov has six farmers, three gardeners and five bystanders. In the 18th century an oil mill was built in the village. The oldest local seal dates from 1736. Janoušov has belonged to the Jakubovice parish since 1785 . In 1834 Janoušov had 355 inhabitants and consisted of 55 houses and a manorial forestry. Because of the mountainous location, the inhabitants of the village could not live from the low agricultural income and had to earn extra income as seasonal workers in the manorial forests. In addition, basket weaving and broom making was carried out at home throughout the village, and brushes, rakes and buttons were made.
After the abolition of patrimonial Janoušov / Janauschendorf formed from 1850 a district of the Eisenberg community in the Mährisch Schönberg district . In 1867 the Janoušov community was established. In 1900 372 Czechs lived in the 65 houses in the village. In 1930 the community had 325 inhabitants.
As a result of the Munich Agreement , the village was annexed to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Mährisch Schönberg district until 1945 . In 1939 Janauschendorf had 320 inhabitants.
After the Second World War, the community came back to Czechoslovakia. In 1976 Janoušov was incorporated into Bušín . The Janoušov municipality has existed again since late 1990. In 1991 the place had 66 inhabitants; Most of the houses are holiday homes, only 25 were permanently occupied. Janoušov is now a resort. In winter, a ski trail is groomed over the Jeřáb to the Hora Matky Boží ( Mother of God Mountain ) near Králíky .
