The origins of the village are probably on its western periphery on Jedlí potok. In 1356 the place was first referred to as Jedly . Since 1373 there are reliable records about the village. In 1405 there was a hereditary court in Jedlí and the place was a parish village. The Jedlí Church has been handed down as a wooden structure since 1411. It burned down during the Thirty Years War and was rebuilt in 1647. There is evidence of a school since 1672, teaching was carried out in various houses in the village. In 1834 the village had 1,589 inhabitants. Until 1848 the village was subject to the Schildberg rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial Jeedl / Jedle formed a political municipality in the Hohenstadt district from 1850 . The current place name Jedlí has existed since 1918. In 1930, 1180 people lived in Jeedl.

After the Munich Agreement , the village was added to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Hohenstadt district until 1945 . In 1939 Jeedl had 1,141 inhabitants. During the German occupation, several residents joined the partisans. After the end of the Second World War, Jedlí came back to Czechoslovakia.
