history

The first written mention of Gross Heilendorf took place in 1349 as a Vladikitz , to which Závořice also belonged. Both Postřelmov and Závořice had a festival and a court. In the period that followed, the goods were divided up and owners often changed. To them belonged the families of Rájec, Kolšov, Mírov, Víckov and from 1464 the Zwole . From 1436, the Tunkl on Brníčko and Zábřeh acquired large parts of the surrounding goods, including Kolšov, Lesnice and Závořice, but not Postřelmov. George d. Ä. Tunkl had the ponds in the Marchaue south of Postřelmov, which had existed since the 14th century, significantly expanded. In the corridors of the village of Závořice he had the Great and Small Zadworschitzer Pond ( Závořické rybníky ) created. Because of the heavy burdens imposed on the subjects for the construction and maintenance of the ponds, an uprising broke out in 1494. Rebelling subjects attacked Georg the Elder Tunkl and mortally wounded him.

Around 1500 Peter von Zierotin bought the entire village of Postřelmov on Šumperk . In 1568 the Zierotiner Postřelmov sold it to the Lords of Boskowitz , who added it to the Hohenstadt rule . Postřelmov was one of the largest villages in the rule, in 1585 there are 52 properties in the Urbar, 37 of which are farms. In 1589 Jan von Boskovic bequeathed Hohenstadt with Hochstein to his nephew Ladislav Velen von Zerotein . After the Battle of the White Mountain the Žerotín family lost their dominions in 1622 and Karl von Liechtenstein received them for a small obolus. In 1665 a new stone church was built in place of the burned down wooden church. In the hoof register of 1677 there are 51 farms, including 28 farmers, and the Závořice farm. The Zadworschitz ponds were drained at the beginning of the 19th century and turned into arable land. In 1834 Postřelmov consisted of 115 houses; the rural village had 355 inhabitants. In the course of time the place was also called Velký Postřelimov.

After the abolition of patrimonial Velký Postřelimov / Groß Heilendorf formed with the district Vyhnálov / Wechnalow from 1850 a political municipality in the Hohenstadt district. After the Moravian Schönberg entrepreneur Ignaz Seidl started a mechanical spinning mill in Sudkov in 1864 , some of the residents of Postřelmov earned a living. In 1871, rail traffic from Hohenstadt to Mährisch Schönberg and Zöptau began . In 1893 Postřelmov / Großheilendorf became the official place name. About a kilometer outside of the village was the train station in the open field, and factories were established at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1901, the J. Vítek machine factory and iron foundry was established. The Scheinost brothers' ignition goods factory followed in 1909 and was taken over by Helios AG three years later . Other companies were a cooperative distillery, a cement goods factory and roofing felt factory. This transformed the character of the village into an industrial community. In 1900 the community had 1,316 inhabitants and consisted of 151 houses. The workers were mostly Czechs and after the establishment of Czechoslovakia Postřelmov was the center of the Czechs in the Hohenstadt district. In 1923 the J. Kvapil glass mill was established and in 1931 the Olomouc entrepreneur Jan Wagner set up Elektrotechnické závody as, a large electrical engineering plant. In 1930 people lived in the 255 houses in 1975, including 20 Germans.

After the Munich Agreement , the place was added to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Hohenstadt district until 1945 . In 1939 there were 1833 people in Großheilendorf . The electrotechnical factory was added to the German company Metzenauer & Jung, and the J. Vítek machine factory also went into German hands. During the Second World War, Mausern 98k was manufactured in the Jung factory in Großheilendorf ; the plant was nationalized in May 1945 and joined the Moravskoslezské elektrotechnické závody (MEZ) company. In 1948 the other industrial plants in Postřelmov were nationalized. In 1950 the community consisted of 326 houses and 1735 inhabitants. After the dissolution of the Okres Zábřeh, Postřelmov came to the Okres Šumperk at the beginning of 1961. 1991 lived in Postřelmov 3,202 people, the place consisted of 513 houses, 440 of them family houses.
