history
The first written mention of the village named after a Dlúhomil comes from the year 1356. Dlouhomilov was the seat of various small country nobles who used the title of Dlouhomilov . The southern Medelské, which arose from three farms, has been traceable since 1385. In 1437 the lords of Tunkl acquired the place and joined it to the Brníčko rule . In Dlouhomilov there was a hereditary court and several free courts. Since 1490 the village belonged to the unified Hohenstadt rule . Dlouhomilov has been the parish for the surrounding villages since the end of the 16th century. The parish became extinct during the Thirty Years' War. In the hoof register of 1677 27 properties are shown for Dlouhomilov. Between 1767 and 1770 a new church was built, which was elevated to a locality in 1785. The first village school can be traced back to 1793. In the 19th century Dlouhomilov grew further south to the Loučka and formed a closed settlement area with Medelské. In the 1830s, the mining of iron ore began in the area, which was delivered to the smelters of Zöptau and Blansko . In 1834 648 people lived in the 80 houses in the village.
After the abolition of patrimonial Dlouhomilov / Lomigsdorf formed from 1850 with the district Medelsko / Dreihöfen a municipality in the Hohenstadt district. In 1853 the church was elevated to a parish church. At the beginning of the 20th century Medelsko lost the status of a district. In 1910 there were 106 houses with 847 residents in Dlouhomilov. In 1930 the village had 807 inhabitants, seven of whom were Germans.
After the Munich Agreement , the municipality was annexed to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Hohenstadt district until 1945 . In 1939 Lomigsdorf had 700 inhabitants. After the Second World War, the community came back to Czechoslovakia. Several families left Dlouhomilov and moved to the border areas .
In 1950 the community had 544 inhabitants who lived in 141 houses. At the end of 1960 the Okres Zábřeh was dissolved and Dlouhomilov assigned to the Okres Šumperk. At the same time, Benkov was incorporated. In 1991, the Dlouhomilov municipality consisted of 151 residential buildings with 472 residents. 434 people lived in the 138 houses in the Dlouhomilov district.
