history

Weikersdorf was first mentioned in writing in 1391 in a document from Margrave Jobst . The village originally belonged to the margravial rule Schönberg - Fürchtenberg . With the sale of Groß Ullersdorf to the Lords of Zierotin , Weikersdorf became part of the new rule Groß Ullersdorf in 1507. In the second half of the 16th century the Czech names Vidéřovice , Vikejřovice and Vigařovice can be traced . In 1591 the Groß Ullersdorfer interest register for Weikersdorf shows a fortress, a farm, an inheritance court and 27 inns. The Borov courtyard, which had existed south of the village since 1594, was later attached to the Johrnsdorf rule . The hoof register from 1677 shows 43 farms for Weikersdorf. In 1750, the Kröneshof settlement was established on the property of the Freihof by the Johrnsdorf rulers. In 1802 the Liechtensteiners acquired Weikersdorf. In 1834 Weikersdorf consisted of 116 houses and had 816 inhabitants. 106 people lived in the 21 houses of Kröneshof.

After the abolition of patrimonial Weikersdorf / Vykýřovice formed from 1850 with the district Kröneshof a municipality in the district of Mährisch Schönberg . At that time the place had 1060 inhabitants. With the industrialization of the Teas Valley, the number of inhabitants grew steadily in the second half of the 19th century. The inhabitants of the village mainly worked in the glassworks founded by Josef Schreiber in the neighboring Reitendorf in 1857 . In 1871 the village received a railway connection with the Hohenstadt - Zöptau local railway. Between 1872 and 1873 the Moravian Border Railway built the railway from Sternberg via Mährisch Schönberg to Hannsdorf and at the same time took over the local railway line. A school was built in 1872. In 1900 Weikersdorf consisted of 179 houses and had 1,444 inhabitants, 355 of whom lived in the 28 houses of Kröneshof. In 1901 the manufacturer Oberleithner built a mineral oil refinery in Weikersdorf. After the First World War the company was renamed Apollo AG and had 200 employees. The Lane textile factory had also existed in Kröneshof since 1901, with 250 people on wages and salaries in the 1920s. Weikersdorf included the 200 hectare Liechtenstein Annahof and the Viereck farm with 60 hectares, which the manufacturer Oberleithner had leased. In 1919 a two-class Czech minority school was established in Weikersdorf. Kröneshof grew together with Weikersdorf and lost the status of a district in 1921. In the course of the land reforms after the establishment of Czechoslovakia, the Annahof was parceled out. In 1929 the Baptists built a house of prayer. In 1930 the community consisted of 289 houses and had 1997 inhabitants, of which 297 were Czech. After the Munich Agreement , Weikersdorf was annexed to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Mährisch Schönberg district until 1945 . On May 5, 1939, Weikersdorf was incorporated into Reitendorf together with Petersdorf an der Tess. Between 1945 and 1946 the German residents were expelled and resettled with Wolhynientschechen . The incorporation was reversed after the end of the war. In 1950, 1425 people lived in the 322 houses in Vikýřovice. Vikýřovice lost its independence in 1976 and was connected to Šumperk . The community has existed again since 1990. In 1991 there were 1,859 people living in the village. In 1997 the railway line was destroyed by a flood.
