history

The settlement of the village of Winkelsdorf, which belongs to the Wiesenberg rulership , took place at the end of the 18th century. In 1767 the glassmaker Seewald founded the Engelsthal glassworks on the Rauschenden Teß . In 1780 Seewald declared its bankruptcy in Brno and the property became the property of the rulers. Between 1803 and 1815, the Annaberg glassmaking settlement was built below the glassworks on the left-hand side of the Rauschenden Teß . In 1829 the glassworks were relocated to Reitendorf .

After the abolition of patrimonial , Winkelsdorf formed a municipality in the political district of Mährisch Schönberg and the judicial district of Wiesenberg from 1850 onwards with the districts Engelsthal and Annaberg . The cadastre included large forest areas including the Heidebrünnl ( Vřesová studánka ) on the Rotenberg ( Červená hora ) and the Switzerland on the Leiterberg. In 1897 a forest railway was built , which led from Winkelsdorf in two routes of two and three kilometers to the Schwarzen Leiten and the Käulig Mountains ( Velký Klín , Malý Klín ). In 1904 the local railway line from Petersdorf to Winkelsdorf was built as a connection to the Mährisch Schönberg- Zöptau line .

In 1930 the community had 685 residents. After the Munich Agreement , Winkelsdorf was added to the German Reich and until 1945 belonged to the Mährisch Schönberg district . In 1939 there were 669 people living in the community. On Ascension Day 1946, the chapel on Heidebrünnl burned down after a lightning strike. After the Germans were expelled , the number of inhabitants fell significantly. In 1961 it was incorporated into Loučná nad Desnou . In 1991 the place had 150 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 40 houses in which 129 people lived. Today, Kouty is primarily a resort and winter sports center with several ski lifts.

Local division
