history

The first written mention of the village comes from the year 1348. Since 1368 the church can be traced. Since the 14th century there was a farm in Lesnice, to which, in addition to the village Lesnice, the neighboring Závořice belonged. First owners were various noble families. In 1436 the Tunkl von Brníčko acquired the goods and united them with Kolšov . Since 1490 Lesnice was part of the united rule Zábřeh . George d. Ä. Tunkl had the ponds that had existed in the Marchaue since the 14th century significantly expanded. In the corridors of the village of Závořice, which was destroyed by the March flood, he had the Great and Small Zadworschitzer Pond (Závořické rybníky) built. Because of the heavy burdens imposed on the subjects for the construction and maintenance of the ponds, an uprising broke out in 1494. Rebelling subjects attacked Georg the Elder Tunkl and mortally wounded him.

During the Thirty Years' War the parish in Lesnice became extinct and was renewed in 1784. In the hoof register of 1677 seven farms and four cottagers are shown for Lesnice . At the beginning of the 19th century the ponds were drained and used as arable land. In 1834 577 inhabitants lived in the 78 houses of the village.

After the abolition of patrimonial Lesnice / Lesnitz formed a community in the Hohenstadt district from 1850 . In 1878 the volunteer fire brigade Lesnice was founded. In addition to farms, bricklayers and carpenters were also based in Lesnice at this time, and a lime kiln and a smaller lime quarry were operated. In 1900 Lesnice consisted of 106 houses and 805 inhabitants. At the beginning of the 20th century, there was a cooperative dairy and two small cheese factories that produced Olomouc quarels . There was also a sawmill, a mill and a grindstone factory. The place was a stronghold of the Social Democrats. In 1930 Lesnice had 845 inhabitants, including five Germans. After the Munich Agreement , Lesnitz was added to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Hohenstadt district until 1945 . In 1939 843 people lived in Lesnitz. After the end of the Second World War, some of the residents left the village and moved to the Sudeten areas . In 1950 Lesnice had 642 inhabitants who lived in 151 houses. In 1952 a kindergarten was set up in the inheritance court . In 1961 the parish came to Okres Šumperk . Lesnice was flooded by the Loučka in 1966. In 1969 the primary school was rebuilt and in 1971 a community house. In 1990 the kindergarten moved to the community center. In 1991 the village consisted of 150 houses and had 529 inhabitants.
