To the east rise the Malínský vrch (491 m) and Dražník (506 m), which belong to the foothills of the Rabenseifen mountainous region ( Hraběšická vrchovina ). In the northeast are the ponds Velký rybník and Rybník u lípy.

history

Studenky was first mentioned in writing in 1353, when Paul the Younger from Sovinec received half of the village from the wife of Wok von Sovinec and at the same time Jan von Krawarn had a hoof of land inscribed on the land table . Subsequently, the owners of the Studenky shares changed several times. In 1437 Albert von Víckov and Kolšov sold most of the village to Jan Tunkl . During this time, the Tunkl on Brníčko and Zábřeh also acquired the other shares and in 1466 all of Studenky belonged to the estates of Jan Tunkl the Elder.

In the 16th century, a wooden Protestant prayer hall was built. At the same time there was also a Catholic parish in the village, which had been vacant since the Thirty Years' War and which had been completely extinct since 1653. In 1701 the prayer hall was replaced by a stone building. In 1718 the German name Schönbrunn was used for the first time . Until the renewal of the parish in 1786, the village was parish after Bludov . Studanky remained subject to Gut Johrnsdorf until the middle of the 19th century . In 1793 the village consisted of 74 houses and had 445 inhabitants. To distinguish it from the place of the same name near Štíty , a distinction was made between Horní and Dolní Studánky. In 1839 548 people lived in the 88 houses of the village.

From 1849 Dolní Studánky / Schönbrunn formed a political municipality in the Mährisch Schönberg district with the districts of Johrnsdorf and Königsgrund . In 1854 there were 786 people in the community. The following year, 43 residents died in a cholera epidemic . In 1881 the Czech parish name changed to Dolní Studénky and from 1915 to Dolní Studýnky . Instead of the old footbridge over the Tess, the municipality and the town of Mährisch Schönberg built a road connection with a bridge over the river in 1899. In 1900 Dolní Studénky consisted of 150 houses and had 1385 inhabitants, 1003 of whom were Czech and 380 were German. The Dolní Studénky form has been used again since 1924 . In 1930 the community had 1635 inhabitants. After the Munich Agreement , the place was added to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Mährisch Schönberg district until 1945 . In 1939 there were 1,566 people in Schönbrunn . In 1980 Dolní Studénky was incorporated into Šumperk and in 1990 regained its independence.
