Písařov (German writing village) is a village with 726 inhabitants in the Czech Republic . It is located about 15 km west of Šumperk . The village belongs to the Okres Šumperk .

geography

The lowest point of the village is about 500 meters above sea level. M., the highest point at about 700 meters above sea level. M., this place is called Zašív .

history

In the past, Písařov was on the language border . In 1929 there were 296 houses with a total of 1,620 inhabitants. Of these, 261 were Germans and 1,348 Czechs. The first documentary evidence of the village comes from the year 1278. In 1938 the village was incorporated into the Third Reich as a result of the Munich Agreement with the entire Sudeten area . After the Second World War , the German-speaking population was resettled to Germany.

On July 3, 2006 there were 710 residents. Few people can be employed in agriculture and forestry. And the formerly flourishing production of brushes no longer creates a lot of jobs. Therefore, many citizens of Písařov work in the surrounding towns. Písařov is known as a resort and there are many weekend houses there.

Culture

The village is famous for its smugglers. These smugglers smuggled sugar products into Germany in the past. Hence the saying The world ends as soon as all citizens of Písařov are at home, because they are constantly smuggling and they are constantly on the move. The citizens of Písařov speak a dialect that differs slightly from the standard Czech language .

Community structure

Bukovice (German: Bukowitz ) has belonged to the village since 1919 .
