Bohdíkov (German Bohemian March village) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located seven kilometers northwest of Šumperk and belongs to the Okres Šumperk .

geography

Bohdíkov extends in the Hannsdorfer Bergland on the left bank of the March . The Raškovská bouda (801 m) rises to the north.

Neighboring towns are Drozdov in the north, Pivonín in the northeast, Zábřeh and Nemile in the east, Lupěné and Hněvkov in the southeast, Hynčina in the south and Hoštejn in the southwest.

geology

In the municipality there is a marble quarry on the east and west slopes of the valley , only one of which is operated continuously. The Bohdíkov marble was broken in the 19th century to the limestone quarries and later used to a limited extent as a decorative stone. The processing as stone is complex because of malfunctions and iron oxide deposits in the deposit. Nevertheless, it is one of the attractive but little-known materials in the Jeseníky Mountains . It is a light to dark gray, fine-grained marble.
In stratigraphic respect he belongs to Brannáer - group in Moravo-Silesikum .

history

The village emerged at the transition from the 13th to the 14th century during the colonization of the area. The Amber Road , an old trade connection between Bohemia and Silesia , ran through the March valley . Bohdíkov was first mentioned in a document in 1351 as Villa Martini . Raškov was also mentioned for the first time under the name Villa Nicolae . In 1397 Komňátka was first mentioned.

From the document of Charles IV for the establishment of the diocese Leitomischl from 1346 it emerges that at that time both Bohdíkov and Raškov had wooden churches. The existence of a Nový hrad castle has been documented since 1374 , which was located in Raškov and belonged to the Lords of Zierotin . At the end of the 14th century, the rule went to Boresch von Riesenburg and Heinrich von Lazan as pledge . Around 1400, Nikolaus von Lobkowitz released the pledge. The later Emperor Sigismund enfeoffed Benesch von Waldstein with the rule of Nový hrad in 1423. From 1438 he was followed by Bernhard von Schönberg and Georg / Jiřík Tunkl von Brníčko. During the time of Matthias Corvinus ' troops' invasions for power in Bohemia, the castle was destroyed and described as desolate since 1490.

In 1622 the House of Liechtenstein received Bohdíkov and Raškov together with the rulership of Ruda nad Moravou . When the old church in Bohdíkov and the rectory burned down in 1678, the parish in Ruda nad Moravou took over the care. In 1715 the plague broke out. Josef Johann Adam Prince of Liechtenstein had the new church built to commemorate this in 1725, which was elevated to a parish church in 1836.

Alojzov was founded at the end of the 18th century by Alois Fürst zu Liechtenstein as the location of the Aloishütte ironworks . In 1793 there were 682 people in Böhmisch Märzdorf and in 1839 there were 866. In 1872 the A. Eisenstein company from Mährisch Schönberg opened a limestone quarry and in 1929 a second was added. In 1873 the railway started operating. After the unprofitable Aloishütte burned down in 1873, Prince Johann II of Liechtenstein had a paper factory built in its place, which Adolf Karger first leased and then bought. In 1921, Český Bohdíkov and Alojzov had 1109 inhabitants, of which almost 1000 belonged to the Czech ethnic group.

After the Munich Agreement , the place was added to the German Empire and until 1945 belonged to the Mährisch Schönberg district .

On March 17, 1960, Dolní Bohdíkov, Komňátka and Raškov merged to form a municipality Bohdíkov .

Local division
