Stavenice (German stone mason ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located four kilometers east of Mohelnice and belongs to the Okres Šumperk .
geography
Stavenice is located in the Mohelnická brázda ( Müglitzer Furche ) at the transition from the Úsovská vrchovina ( Ausseer hill country ) to the Hanna . The village is located on the left side of March between the streams Lužní Potok, Rohelnice and Doubravka ( torrent ). The Mírovka flows into the March to the west of Stavenice . The protected landscape area CHKO Litovelské Pomoraví with the nature reserve Moravičanské jezero extends to the south . To the northeast rises the Uhliská (293 m), to the south the Bradlec (341 m) and Jelení vrch (345 m).
Neighboring towns are Třeština in the north, Police and Úsov in the northeast, Hlivice in the east, Králová in the southeast, Moravičany in the south, Mohelnice in the southwest, Podolíčko and Křemačov in the west and Libivá and Háj in the northwest.
history
Slavic burial mounds from the Bronze Age can be found in the hills south of the village, and a Slavic fortress can be found on Hradisko near Moravičany. The village of Stavenice is also a Slavic foundation, its name is derived from the personal name Staven . The first written mention of the village belonging to the Müglitzer estates of the Diocese of Olomouc took place in 1273. From 1344 Stavenice was part of the Úsov rule . In 1519 the Úsov hospital received the income from the village. The oldest local seal dates from 1758. In 1783 the village was parish changed from Müglitz to Úsov.
After the abolition of patrimonial Stavenice / Steinmetz formed a community in the Hohenstadt district from 1850 . In 1900 285 people lived in the 42 houses of the village. In 1911 a one-class village school began teaching. In 1930 the place had 254 inhabitants.
After the Munich Agreement , Steinmetz was added to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Hohenstadt district until 1945 . In 1939 the village had 244 inhabitants. On May 8, 1845, the Waffen SS shot five residents of Lesche at Steinmetz .
1961 Stavenice was assigned to the Okres Šumperk . Between 1976 and 1992 the village was incorporated into Úsov.
