Hraběšice (German Rabenseifen ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located seven kilometers east of Šumperk and belongs to the Okres Šumperk . The municipality is a member of the municipal association Svazek obcí údolí Desné .

geography

The village of Hraběšice, surrounded by forests, is located in the Rabenseifen Uplands ( Hraběšická vrchovina ) in the basin of the Hraběšický brook. The Prostřední skála ( Mittelstein , 718 m) rises to the northwest, the Skály ( Haidsteiner White Stone , 929 m) to the east and the Kamenný vrch ( Haidstein , 952 m) to the southeast .

Neighboring towns are Sobotín in the north, Rudoltice in the northeast, Žďárský Potok and Stará Ves in the east, Bedřichov, Véska and Třemešek in the southeast, Mladoňov in the south, Krásné in the southwest, Anenský Dvůr and Vikýřovice in the west and Rapotín and Petrov nad Desnou in the north-west.

history

The village, first mentioned in a document in 1569, emerged as a settlement for woodcutters and miners. Iron ore was mined in the vicinity of Hraběšice. The name of the place named after Hrabiš von Schwabenitz and Aussee was Germanized over the years and changed into raven soaps . In 1569 the Groß Ullersdorf rulership sold the village together with Frankstadt to the town of Schönberg . In 1677 the place consisted of 25 properties. Schönthal was founded in 1690. In 1834 355 people lived in the 59 houses of Rabenseifen. In 1842 a parish was set up in Rabenseifen. In 1844 a school house was inaugurated, in which the Schönthal children were also taught until 1888. Rabenseifen belonged to the Mährisch Schönberg estate until 1848.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Rabe soaps / Rabenseif 1850 with the hamlet Schönthal a municipality in the district Šumperk . In 1880 the community had 751 inhabitants. At the end of the 19th century the Czech name of the village changed to Hraběšice . In 1900 409 people lived in the 75 houses in the village of Rabenseifen, in Schönthal there were 50 houses with 230 residents. The first holiday homes were built after the First World War . In 1930, 461 people lived in Rabenseifen, including three Czechs.

After the Munich Agreement , the municipality was annexed to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Mährisch Schönberg district until 1945 . In 1939 Rabenseifen had 463 inhabitants. After the Second World War that occurred expulsion of the German inhabitants and a resettlement of Czechs from Hanna .

In 1950, 202 people lived in the 90 houses of the village, 67 of the houses with 115 inhabitants were in the district of Hraběšice. In 1976 Hraběšice was incorporated into Šumperk . The community has existed again since 1990. In 1991 only 21 houses were permanently used for residential purposes and the village had 64 permanent residents. Most of the houses are used as holiday homes. Hraběšice is a winter sports center with two ski lifts.
