Stará Ves (German Altendorf ) is a municipality with about 530 inhabitants in the Czech Republic .

Geographical location
Stará Ves extends in the valley of the Podolský potok four kilometers northwest of the city center of Rýmařov ( Roman town ) at the foot of the Jeseníky Mountains at 645 m above sea level. M.

The district of Žďárský Potok ( Brandseifen ) belongs to the Stará Ves municipality .
history
The place belonged to the rule Rabenstein , which existed since the 13th century. Altendorf is first documented in 1561. Landlords were the noble families von Eder and von Harrach.
After the Munich Agreement , the place was added to the German Empire and belonged to the district of Römerstadt until 1945 .
The Germans were expropriated and driven out after 1945.
The center of the village is the Alfred Hut ( Alfrédova chata ) built in 1861 . In 1960 Žďárský Potok was incorporated.
