Slezské Pavlovice (German: Silesian-Paulowitz , from 1869 German-Paulowitz ; Polish: Pawłowice Śląskie / Pawłowice Niemieckie ) is a Czech municipality and is located in Moravian-Silesia directly on the Polish border. The municipality belongs to the Okres Bruntál , administrative tasks are taken over by the city of Krnov (hunting village ). As of March 25, 2010 there were 203 inhabitants in the village.
location
The place is surrounded in the west, north and east by Polish communities ( Lubrza / Leuber and Racławice Śląskie / Deutsch-Rasselwitz ). Neighboring communities in the south are Hlinka and Osoblaha / Hotzenplotz . The town is 40 km away from the district town of Bruntál (Freudenthal) and 67 km from the regional capital Ostrava .
Slezské Pavlovice is situated in the extreme south-east of the Central European Lowland , in the Troppau-Leobschützer Loess Hills (Czech Opavská pahorkatina ; Polish: Płaskowyż Głubczycki ) and the Hotzenplotzer lowlands. The highest point of the municipality is at the Swedish column (Švédský sloup / Szwedzki Słup) on the northern state border (257 m nm). Most of the area drains to the Osoblaha / Ossa River , a left tributary of the Oder . The Prudník brook flows through the southern part and flows through the Polish town of the same name (Neustadt O / S.) And flows into the Osoblaha. Other bodies of water are the Pavlovický potok , which dams a pond.
The municipality's land use is 84.5% agricultural area (77.5% fields, 6% meadows), 1.5% forest and 11.5% built-up or other areas.
history
The first written mention of the place comes from the year 1267 . From 1961 to November 23, 1990 , the municipality was part of Osoblaha .
