The Prudnik (German Prudnik or Braune , Czech Prudník ) is a left tributary of the Osobłoga ( Hotzenplotz ) in Poland and the Czech Republic .

The Prudnik rises east of the village Konradów ( Dürr-Kunzendorf ) on the northern slope of the Czapka ( Hutberg , 440 m) in the Polish part of the Góry Opawskie ( Zuckmanteler Bergland ). On its course, which initially leads north, the stream flows past Konradów and changes its direction east of Głuchołazy between the settlements Osiedle Pionerów and Osiedle Pasterówka through the Leobschützer Loesshügelland ( Opavská pahorkatina / Płaskowyż Głubczycki ) to the northeast. The villages Charbielin ( Ludwigsdorf ) and Wierzbiec ( Wackenau ) lie along the Prudnik on this section . In Prudnik the brook takes on the water-rich Złoty Potok ( Goldbach ) on the right side . Past Jasionowe Wzgórze, Lipy, Skrobacz, Jasiona ( Jassen ), Skrzypiec ( Kreiwitz ) and Dytmarów (Dittersdorf), his further run leads east to Czech territory. There the Prudník flows between Nové Vrbno, Závsí and Slezské Pavlovice ( Deutsch-Paulowitz ) past the nature reserve Pavlovický rybník. After about 23 kilometers, the Prudník flows into the Osoblaha ( Hotzenplotz ) not far from the Czech-Polish border near Studnice . The Czech part is 4.6 kilometers long and 675 people live in this part of the catchment area.
