Vyšehoří (German Wyschehor , 1940-1945 Hochberg ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located six kilometers north of Zábřeh and belongs to the Okres Šumperk .

geography

Vyšehoří is located at the drop of the Drozdovská vrchovina ( Drosenauer Uplands ) to the Müglitzer Furche ( Mohelnická brázda ) in the valley of the Postřelmovský potok. The Hraniční strouha trench runs to the east. The state road I / 11 from Bludov to Červená Voda leads past to the north. Vyšehoří lies on the edge of the Březná nature park. To the west rise the Homole (516 m) and the Háječek (603 m).

Neighboring towns are Klášterec and Bohutín in the north, Chromeč in the east, Postřelmov in the southeast, Postřelmůvek in the south, Svébohov in the southwest, Jedlí in the west and Zborov and Na Horách in the northwest.

history

Vyšehor was first mentioned in writing in 1397 when Margrave Jobst of Moravia, together with Zábřeh, gave the place to his brother-in-law Peter von Krawarn auf Plumlov as a fief. Previously, the village was part of the lordship Ruda nad Moravou that in 1392 after the death of Stephan von Sternberg's to the crown home like was. In 1447 Johann Tunkl von Brníčko bought Vyšehor from the Lords of Kravarn. In 1516 the village consisted of nine properties. In 1585, five farmers, two gardeners and three sitters are reported for Vyšehor . During the Thirty Years War the village became deserted and in 1677 13 people lived in Vyšehor . In 1771 there were 109 people again. In 1793, 193 people lived in the 35 houses. By 1834 the number of houses had grown to 40 and the number of residents to 273. Vyšehor always remained subject to the Zábřeh rule until the middle of the 19th century. Its residents were exclusively Czech.

After the abolition of patrimonial Vyšehor / Wischehorsch formed a political municipality in the Hohenstadt district from 1850 . The parish has always been Klášterec. In 1885 Vyšehor received its own school, before lessons also took place in Klášterec. In 1890 the village had 304 inhabitants. The spellings Vyšehoří and Wyschehor have been used since the beginning of the 20th century . 1930 lived in the place 311 people.

After the Munich Agreement , the Czech village was added to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Hohenstadt district until 1945 . In 1939 Wyschehor had 331 inhabitants and in the following year the Slavic-sounding name Wyschehor Germanized in Hochberg . After the end of the Second World War, Vyšehoří came back to Czechoslovakia. Some families left the place and settled in the border areas .

In 1950 there were 241 people in the community. After the dissolution of the Okres Zábřeh, Vyšehoří came to the Okres Šumperk at the beginning of 1961. Between 1976 and 1991 the place was incorporated into Bludov . In 1991, 169 people lived in Vyšehoří, the place consisted of 52 houses. In 1992 Vyšehoří was re-established and since 2003 it has had a coat of arms and a banner.
