history
The first written mention from 1312 concerns the altar of the Church of St. Nicholas. In 1343, Police and Džbánov, along with eleven other villages and the town of Aussee, were pledged to the Lords of Sternberg by Johann von Luxemburg as part of the lordly Aussee lordship . There is evidence of a water mill in Džbánov since 1437. The parish existed until around 1600, after which the church in Police became a branch of the Aussee parish church of St. Egidius. During the Thirty Years War, the area was devastated and deserted. In the hoof register of 1677 there are 25 properties for Police and Džbánov, five of which were desolate. Police and Džbánov later grew into one village. In 1834, 336 people lived in Police's 56 houses. Until 1848 the village was always subject to Aussee.
After the abolition of patrimonial Políc / Polleitz formed a political municipality in the Hohenstadt district and judicial district Müglitz from 1850 . In the 1850s, iron ore mining began in the Horkawald near Klopina, and an iron hammer was operated in Džbánov until the end of the 19th century. In 1900 the Polejc commune had 447 inhabitants. In 1930 455 people lived in the place, including four Germans.
According to the Munich Agreement , the place was annexed to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Hohenstadt district until 1945 . In 1939 Polleitz had 450 inhabitants. After the Second World War, the community came back to Czechoslovakia . In the post-war period, the majority of the residents left the place and moved to the border areas .
In 1950 only 282 people lived in the 80 houses of Police. In 1961 Bezděkov u Úsova was incorporated and the municipality was also assigned to the Okres Šumperk.
Between 1985 and 1990 Police was a part of Úsov . In 1990 the Police municipality was re-established, but Bezděkov u Úsova remained with Úsov. In 1991, 260 people lived in Police's 76 houses.
